I just scored a free refrigerator :) and was wondering if anyone had some good suggestions for an external thermostat. I got the fridge to run below 32 degrees, so I would like a thermostat that will go that low so that I can lager in the future.

Thanks for any advice.

Ranco and Johnson are two of the common ones. I have two Ranco, one on the kegger & one on the fermentation fridge.

The Johnson controller I saw on Northerbrewer makes it sound like you should set the freezer to the coldest setting possible and then plug the freezer into the controller and the controller turns on an off based on the probe temperature. Is that an accurate statement?

Also i looked at the love Controller and it said it includes a probe but does that work differently or are there other parts I would need to use it? It did not appear to have a cord attached.
