Sorry guys, I haven't really contributed yet but have managed to have run into a lot of questions.

Anyway, I've noticed a-uh-deadly smell coming out of the air lock. Like straight up FUNK, and not the good kind. Wondering if I'm looking at the rhino fart or something more gut-wrenching.

Here's the recipe :

4lbs weyermann pale wheat
4lbs rahr 2-row pale
1 oz sterling
1lbs honey
wyeast#1010 American Wheat Yeast

I don't brew wheats, but I thought that the rhino farts are a by-product of wheat beer ferments.

Smell aside, that looks dangerously close to overflowing. Is that a 5 gallon carboy you're using as a fermenter? You may want to hook up a blow off tube. I'd be worried that all that gunk in the neck would get clogged in the air lock and blow the whole thing apart.
