Tasting Notes
This brew rocks. I dont know if I hit 100 IBUS, I am thinking I should have used leaf
Green Hornet Smash Recipe

15 lbs of Munich
1.75 Centennial at 60 min
1.00 Centennial at 30 min
1.00 centennial at 15 min
1.00 Centennial at 10 min
.75 Centennial at 5 min
.50 Centennial at 1 min

Irish Moss at 10 min

Safe Ale 05 (two packs, with a starter the day before if you prefer)

Single infusion, medium body, 154 degrees.

Color is a bit off for an imperial IPA, (6.7 srm, min is 8.0, and I dont care)

OG 1.085
FG 1.024

The aroma is out of this world. Pulling a glass from the keg, all you smell is centennial. It in the foam, on youre tongue and in your burps. Great IIPA, I am pleased with the results. After a week or so in the primary, i sent it to the keg, and conditioned it at 65 degrees for almost 3 weeks.

Interesting choice on the Munich malt. What's a Munich smash taste like? I'm thinking of trying a Vienna smash but Munich is running the too...

Had a sharper/grainy back end to it, once you got past the hops. Had a redish hue to it.

I also thought of a Vienna grain bill, but tossed a coin and munich won. Glad I went that route.

This looks Good, alkthough I'll be tweaking soon to use a Local NZ Hops, Called Waimea, 14.9%
Apparantly "Its the granddaughter of Pacific Jade."
15lbs=6.5kgish of Munich
And changing the Schedule to
40g @ 60 =1.5 oz
30g @ 30 = 1 oz
30g @ 15
30g @ 5
30g @ FO
2 Packs of US-05 - No Starter.
Rack to Secondary & add:
40g @ DryHop (7 Days)

I Don't know if those hops are available in the US, but i thought i'd share :)
