Boiling honey???

Is it really necessary to boil the honey water? Wont it ferment and dissolve all the same if i do not boil it?
 
boiling honey kills a lot of the aromatic compounds....which isn't really ideal.

those that do heat their honey tend to do a lower heat, pasteurizing type method instead of a boil.
 
Never boiled it, but I have pasteurized it before. I'm not sure it made much difference, besides the yeast will take over quicker than a bacteria.
