I am interested in attaching my immersion chiller to the kitchen faucet. Will my barbed X NPT 1/2 inch pipe thread fit on anything under the sink, or on the faucet aerator? which connection is that thread at the aerator called? How about adding a shutoff dedicated to the wort connection (1/2 inch)

I use one of these when I connect my IC to my kitchen faucet. You need to remove the aerator and install it in its place. Now you can attached a standard garden hose x barb fitting adapter to the faucet. Tubing then attaches to the barb and then to your chiller. That's how I do it anyway.

I also have one of these on the faucet I use for brewing. I also have a female quick disconnect screwed onto it. I have male ends on the chiller tubing, my water filter, and my carboy/bottle cleaner. Handy for quick change overs.
