I see this term now and again, usually talking about the amount of beer breweries put out. How much is a BBL and what does it stand for?

BBL is an abbreviation for barrel.
Soulive21 said:Beer barrels. One BBL is 31 gallons of beer. The brewpub I help out at brews 10BBL batches...
Soulive21 said:Yeah 310 gallons roughly. They brew once, sometimes twice per week. Occasionally we brew 5BBL batches if we run out of a seasonal too early. Like for instance, we did 5BBLs of an ESB to transition from Oktoberfest to Wee Heavy. The Oktober was flying out of the serving tanks. I like to think its because I controlled the mash/sparge
edit - 10BBLs is roughly 2834 pints!
