hurricane burner with NG

I have a hurricane with the standard LP orifice, but am trying to hook it up to NG. I drilled it out to 1/8 and I am not getting very tall (6 inch) flames with a little yellow at the tips regardless of damper setting... should I drill further or have I drilled too much?

Hurricane burners were not designed to give tall flames, it is a common misconception. The person at Hurricane I talked with told me he gets calls all the time from people complaining that the flames are not high enough. Mine are less than two inches high and mostly blue with some yellow tips, and they will boil 14 gallons of wort a bit too much.

Do a pressure test first http://www.komar.org/faq/manometer/ to figure out where you need to be. 1/8" is too big for my set up.
