So i have brewed a pliny the elder clone from the farmhousebrewwingsupply kit. Its been 12 days and have gotten the gravity down to the projected 1.010. Then i added the first set of hops for the dry hopping. My question is that i have been reading a lot about cold crashing to help clear up the beer. Can i relocate this beer to an area that keeps its temp in the 40-50s now that primary fermentation is complete or must it still be kept at the yeasts recommended fermentation temp.

As a general rule you can relax about temperatures once fermentation is complete. Having said that, I would leave it warm while you are dry hopping. You can dry hop with the beer colder, it will just take longer for the flavors to gel. After your dry hoppping schedule is over, then I would cold crash to clear the beer if you wish.
