when to switch to secondary

so this is my first brew it's a red ale and it's been fermenting for 4 full days now and it's barely bubbling anymore. im wondering when i should switch it to the secondary. thanks jamescb77
 
I usually wait at least a week before racking to secondary. Fermentation should be complete before you move to secondary, so the real judge of when to rack is a steady specific gravity over several days.
 
Actually, you should not rack to the clearing tank (secondary) until the FG is within the appropriate range for the brew.

I always use 75% as a goal, but you can check your yeasts attenuation for this percentage. ;)
