can someone calculate my efficiency for me?

First time I've done a full boil on a partial mash. I'm not sure if I'm running the numbers through Beersmith correctly.

Here they are:

5.00 lb Pale Malt (2 Row) US (2.0 SRM) Grain 83.33 %
1.00 lb Caramel/Crystal Malt - 40L (40.0 SRM) Grain 16.67 %

Collected 5 gal of wort. Pre-boil gravity was 1.041.

I'm getting an efficiency of ~95% which seems impossibly high for a batch sparge never mind the highest I've ever had on 4 previous PMs was 79%.

Am I punching something in wrong or did i measure correctly or what?!?

I do partial mashes, but I don't have beersmith. I'm using equations from Designing Great Beers. I get the same numbers you do, 95% efficiency for a 5 gallon batch. Congrats, I usually get 65%-70%.

i usually get 70% too. Only thing i did differently this time was collect more wort ie sparged another 2 gal.

i gotta check my notes again, maybe my preboil SG is wrong.

only reason i'm skeptical is because i thoujght i read somewhere 95% isn't realistic when batch sparging. Maybe i'm wrong though.
