An apparrently pointless name change

Well, not totally pointless. I chose my old user name (OhioBrit) So that i could indicate to people that I am a Brit living in Ohio (Gasps of amazement) I only used the "Brit" part to give people a clue as to why I spelled a lot of my words wrong and used words like wanker a lot.

Anyways, that backfired on me after about my fifth post when I mentioned that I was proud to be an American citizen, and someone chimed in immediately with something along the lines of "So why ohioBRIT"? I have since also found that my old name points me out as being European, and in a negative way more often than I would like.

From this day forth I will be an undercover European to any other noobs that don't know me yet. I will be a secret American Englishman. I will lurk in the shadows and hide my nasty socialistic european tendancies until I feel it necessary to reveal my true identity.

If anyone sees a telephone booth going cheap on ebay, please give me a heads up. I need one for sudden costume changes! :)
 
Alright, you can have your name change but you need to keep your avatar the same so I still know it's you.
 
I don't know. Wouldn't it simply be second nature to spell "color" and "favorite" with a U? You'd give yourself away (though some might think you're Canadian, and wouldn't that frost your feathers).
 
OK...but you can't change your pic though....I'm too old and addled to keep all these name/picture thingys straight..:D

It astonished me too while I was typing that! I was trying to keep it simple. ;)

You are correct. Being called European seems like a bit of an insult to me. ;)

Nothing against other Europeans, but the UK is better suited as a 51st state if America would have us than a member of the EU.
 
I'd love to have the UK as a 51st state, but only if we can refer to it as England.

A friend of mine is from England. He always calls home the UK. Sounds cool. Now if I could only wade more easily through that heavy Manchester accent of his, our conversations wouldn't be nearly as long.:D
 
I don't and won't ever consider the UK European. That is of course until the UK abandons the British Pound Sterling for the Euro, LOL! You guys did, however, hold your nose and build a tunnel to France, LOL!

All kidding aside, I consider our British brothers to be our closest ally and would stand with them until death!
 
I think you should have changed your name to creepy muth@funk1n gnome based on your avatar.

Maybe add the UK to likes of Puerto Rico. Not really a state, more of an American property :D. After all, until the Revolutionary War, we were merely another set colonies.

I'm kidding, of course. I'd love to visit the UK especially the pubs! :tank::mug:

Hehe ...One time at Cleveland airport while they separated the foreign guy (me) from my future spouse, future wifey had to endure getting chatted up by a German guy. No problem, I arrived on the scene a little later, and we all had a beer in the bar. He didn't know I was English, but for some reason he kept going on about how the English are "bad" Europeans....He went on to explain that no matter how often Germany and France explained to the English that the monetary union was a good thing, The English were far too big headed and arrogant to do what they told them to do. Then this guy just went on a total stupid rant about it! Stupid arrogant English will NOT do what we tell them!!!.......Maybe he was just druck. ;)

Oh crap!! I thought "Astounded Gnome Brewery" was obvious!

Though I DO see that "Massive wanker drunken gnome brewery " has a certain ring to it! :)
 
I found some "Interesting" garden gnomes....but I think we're on the wrong side of fightclub to see it.
