Quick question for anyone who had been there. Wanting to drag my wife and 7 year old little girl down there, but not sure if it's kid friendly. So if you have been there is it ok to bring my kid? Is the restaurant part separate from the main bar? Thanks. Oh and so far London has been fantastic!

Sorry- we only walked by when we visited. But we did have a pint in The Dolphin in Red Lion St., which I would just categorize as a typical small English pub. We were in the neighborhood, having visited the British Museum earlier in the day. The Dolphin has the distinction of being the subject of the first ærial bombing, from a zeppelin in 1915. The clock on the wall then is still there, stopped at the moment the bomb fell. Not a single person in the bar, including the barkeep, knew of its provenance.
