Freezing cones then drying a batch

O I'm a new grower and a few of my plants made cones. Can I pick the ones that I think are ready to be picked ( still not sure about how to tell) and food saver them until I have a sizable amount to dry?

Freezing wet hops will most likely result in a bag of green mush...

Right. Dry them first, then freeze them.

Just dry them by laying them out on a window screen for a few days. Easy. Then keep them in the refrigerator until you are ready to vacuum pack them.

Can the screen be in garage I'm in ga where it's hot and humid or should I keep the. Inside under a ceiling fan on low
