I just received these numbers from my water company. I am reading up on what the numbers mean and making changes to the water to meet the needs of certain style.

I was wondering, as is, what style(s) my water is suited for at these current levels right out of the tap?

Sodium - Approximately 17 mg/L
Calcium - Approximately 17 mg/L as total calcium
Magnesium _ 5 mg/L as total magnesium
Nitrate - 0.38 mg/L
Sulfate - Approximately 44 mg/L
Chloride - Approximately 28 mg/L
Bicarbonate - Water hardness 50-73 mg/L or 2.9 - 4.3 grains as Calcium Carbonate
Total Alkalinity - 17-29 mg/L

Thanks for any help.

Your water is suited for almost anything without further treatment. See the Primer in the Stickies.

Depending on your tastes and the style of beer you wish to brew the sulfate may be a bit high (or, again, depending on taste it may be low) and you will, in many cases, benefit from addition of calcium salts
