I'm planning an English style IPA for the brew after next, and I have two packets of Safale T-58 I need to use up before they expire. Will this yeast work well in an EIPA, or should I go with my old standby S-04?

I can't imagine the spicy, peppery character of T-58 working in compliment to anything English; I'd use the US-04.

I think t58 is better suited to a belgian wit(slightly phenolic) the s04 would be a better fit.

I'll go with the S-04 this time.

I've heard so many conflicting things about the T-58 that I need to finally just try it for myself. But an EIPA is probably not the beer for that.
