After two batches my plastic fermenting pail is nasty(I cleaned it thouroughly after both). I tried everything to clean it from ivory soap to letting it soak in bleach water.

It still smells like fermenting beer and is stained. Both batches only sat for a week. Is there any way to debunk this pail or should it remain funked up forever?

Let it smell. That seems to be part of brewing in plastic. I have two buckets, and they always smell like the last batch that was in them. I would wash them throughly and let them be.

One of my pails does that too. Though strangely a couple of other ones don't. I do as suggested and wash it thoroughly after use and just don't worry about it. It doesn't seem to have had any affect that I can tell.
