My BK, HLT, and MT........all 40 gal and DIY ball valves, dip tubes, manifold....etc. I insulated the MT with R-15 fiberglass insulation and duck tape. I lose 1 degree per hour, probably because of the lid not having a seal and the fact that I had to leave some of the pot un-insulated near the ball valve and brewmometer. The pots were advertised as 45 gallon when I bought them, but they ended up only being 40 gallon. Not cool at all...... I'm makin it work. I barely have enough headspace in the MT and I ended up being short on the BK by about 2 gallons. I use pressure canned makeup water to top off after the boil so that I can pump out a full BBL when I brew as originally planned. Could be worse. I could drop to 25 gallon batches........but that takes all the fun out of it. The burner stands are all DIY too BTW.DESCRIPTION:
