  • I got into homebrewing in July of 2009 after going to a craft beer expo. Some local homebrewers had an exhibit and their beer was just as good (if not better) than some of the craft brewers. I later did some research and found out just how simple, not easy, simple homebrewing is.

I'm in the process of building this based on your instructables. First, I just wanted to say
thank you for putting this together with the amount of detail that you did. I have a question
    though. If I ...

I agree with weirdboy above. There is another factor to consider that I believe may play a
role. The headspace in a full keg is going to be significantly less than the combined headspace
    of 50 bottles...

I agree. I've never seen dry hopping in a stout before. I've also never seen a beer dry hopped
with so little hops before either. I guess it's the little things that make good beer. Thanks

That's probably a safe assumption. Thanks for the reply. One more question though, in that
recipe the dry hop amounts are .07 oz of Willamette and .08 oz of Cascade. I originally thought
    that was a ty...

I've searched the vast internets for this recipe and have found a few. I have also learned from
a previous post on HBT about this recipe that a clone recipe exists in BYO Sept '05 issue. In
    that post ...

It sounds like a good recipe to me. A few suggestions. First, I personally wouldn't consider it
a double IPA. I'm not sure if there are any strict guidelines, but my opinion is that a double
    IPA has a...

One of three things may happen.1. The beer carbonates fine and you drink it two weeks later and
wonder: why was I so worried?2. The cork is blown from the bottle. No harm done.3. The bottle
    explodes. ...

This is a PEST. The common household dog. Sure, it's funny, but I'm not laughing. this is what
happens when one chews and steps on hop binesYou should be careful if your dog is eating the
    hop cones. ...
