Yup, cold crashing pretty much always sends them diving. It's not too hard to just avoid them
with the racking cane, though, if you don't want to/can't cold crash.

Just made my 1st made yeast starter, I used 4cups of water to 1cup of DME.Not to be nitpicky,

I tasted the beer 2 days ago and it was fine.You're good. Lots of yeasts (especially 05) leave
floating barf-like chunks of gobby disgustingness when done.
