  • Posted in thread: Is kegging always a battle against leaks? on 04-24-2015 at 09:14 PM
I understand the conclusion you've drawn, but it does nothing to help the OP. Please continue
the topic in a different thread.

  • Posted in thread: How do I calculate ABV if i add sugar during fermentation? on 04-24-2015 at 09:11 PM
Since specific gravity is a measure of density, you can weigh the fermenter before and after
filling it and then calculate volume from there.

  • Posted in thread: Should I buy a used kit? on 04-24-2015 at 09:02 PM
For $40-$50, assuming most items are in good condition, it's probably worth it. If it costs
more than that, I'd skip it.If the gear is well used and/or abused, you'll easily reach the
    cost of a new ki...

Although @Austin may disagree due to workload at times, I don't think we need more article

I really like my Monster Mill. The no-frills model can be had for $139. A little bit of time
and scrap wood can make a nice hopper for it.

That's some seriously beefy tubing for a brew stand. You could use half that wall thickness and
cut the weight by quite a bit. For $20 per 8 ft (plus shipping), you can even order it online!

If you mean 5 lbs, you should get easily 4-5 kegs out if it, and it's possible to more than
    double that.

Keep it on topic. huckbof, you are welcome to start a new thread about the pros/cons/economy of
kegging, but this isn't the thread to carry on like that.Back to the topic at hand - I've gone
    about 2 y...

I think the Kombucha forum could be retitled to include "probiotic" content if interest
warrants. I see no reason to add another subforum.

  • Posted in thread: Is Ebay still a legitimate auction site? on 04-23-2015 at 02:52 PM
I am often frustrated by eBay for all of the reasons previously mentioned. I hate the drop
shipping business model, and it seems out of place on eBay. As one poster put, "they pass the
    savings on to y...
