I don't know about the keg's height, but I would be sure to keep the keg upright and not upside
down or on its side. This way the gas dip tube is not submerged in beer and the liquid dip tube

Are you re-passivating after the etch? You can make a paste of citric acid and cake on the side
with HOT water in the vessel. Should be over 140F i think to passivate properly... something to
