sure enough, went home and carefully peaked in, saw a little krausen, stirred it up and in a
couple hours it was bubbling away... sitting right around 67 or so... so it seems to be happy

After the temp was around 64, did you rouse the yeast? They may need a little agitation.no i

I am going to rack to secondary this weekend. My plan is to soak some oak chips i use for wine
in the whiskey and add 2 ounces vanilla extract and let it sit in the primary for a few weeks

thats pretty much what i did, i poured almost all the slurry into a sanitized mason jar and
kept in the fridge... will slowly warm it up and dump it in the wort... thanks :)
