    ABOUT ME

  • Ogden Utah
  • RR conductor
  • I started home brewing about 7 years ago. I got my start after seeing some hops growing along the railroad right of way while on a train. That lead me to a local brew store and into brewing. I did about 20 batches three of which were bad. Same strong bad flavor. Not sure if it was a house yeast or lack of cleanliness but it caused me to lose interest. Last year we bought a new home. That would take care of one of the aforementioned ills and with a little diligence the second could be overcome also. So here I am back at it. This time I plan to keg my beer and get away from bottles.

Flux core is great, but gas shielded is so much better. What I would insist on is that it is
upgradeable to gas or you will have to buy another later.

US Plastics. Came to $209 delivered to LHBS. Maybe $20 for the fittings. About $50 to raise the
stand but you could save a little doing it differently.

Think until you start having second thoughts then just do it before your second thoughts
destroy your enthusiasm. That's the point when you done overthunk it! No one knows you better
    than yourself!
