  • As I grew up, I was exposed to the world of great beers by a family friend who actually opened a microbrewery for a few years (Kross Brewing Co. in VT). He really educated me in the world of great beers. But for some reason, I didn't venture into home brewing until a few years ago when my older brother gave me a Mr. Beer kit for Christmas. Then a light bulb went on in my otherwise dull head and I realized, hey...maybe I can brew all the great beers that I buy. I brewed one extract batch, then dove into l grain bout the time I found HBT (coincidence?)
And I have been trying to brew great beers ever since.

I am trying to figure out how to plumb my plate chiller and pump. I am using camlocks, but I
see that most pump/plate chiller people hard plumb the chiller and pump together. I guess then

Well, my first attempt at making my PWM resulted in releasing the magic smoke from the IC. We
all know that once the smoke is out it's all over so it'll be off to RS from another one

I have the Blichmann 7 gallon. If I would do it over again, I may go to something that was
welded. It's one less thing to check. One thing that I thought I regretted, but now I'm glad I
    did was get th...

Ayup. Had that. It did a great job with pellet hops. Not so great for me mixed with break and
hops. Was the problem the lack of good flow, or did much break material get through?

I see, it looks impressive. I was looking at brewhardware.com instead and didn't see it. then I
slowed down and read.So the hop stopper screen didn't cut it for you? This is what I have:

I have a hop stopper screen on the bottom of my kettle. I guess I will try to recirculate from
chiller back into kettle and see if that is enough to keep my pellet hops and break out of the
