Ok, quick question. My second batch ever. I cooled the wort, poured it through a strainer into
my primary, passed it between a couple buckets to aerate it, pitched the yeast, and capped it.

Most folks do use a lighter DME for making starters, I prefer Pils DME myself. Since your kit
was likely designed with no starter in mind, it would be most prudent for you to either ditch

Is there any specific DME to use for this starter? My recipe kit only came with LME, but most

That was kind of my question... If I just force carbonation with the CO2 canister, is there any
