Originally from Annapolis Maryland, but now reside with my wife in West Chester, PA. It's not Annapolis, but I live 3 miles from Victory, so I guess I'm dealing with it.
I got into craft brews when in college and it progressed when I entered the real world. The Mrs and I are both products of James Madison University. I was sparked later on by an Alton Brown's Good Eats episode and the Modern Marvels on History Channel. Did the research in books, online, and of the liquid variety. Next thing I know I'm brewing beers. Lucked out and have an awesome home brew shop nearby. - Grilling,Lacrosse,Working on the house,Golf,Cigars,Capitals Hockey, and of course good beer

I started home brewing well because I love cooking and I love beer and finally was hit by a muse and began the journey into home brewing. I read and thought about it for a long while and finally wanted to get it. Living in a townhouse and not wanting to shell out a lot of new toys and with my ceramic top stove limiting what size pot I could use. I got creative. As a bit of a DIY-er I pieced together a lot of my setup so it would work with what I had available and so I would have a small footprint. So far so good.
Well that all lasted about 6 months, thank goodness for Christmas and birthdays. Upgraded to a turkey fryer and 10g cooler along with a few other things. My goal is nice set up with a few burners and pumps, but not automated. I like the human factor to still be involved in the beer making process. while bottling allows me to share my beers with friends and family, a foresee a kegging operation in the future. -
This is pretty open ended...
