Is the Caramalt on page 1 referring to dextrin malt (like carapils) or something like Carastan,
which is a light crystal malt ?

I've got 6 jars of conan frozen from a scale up of a heady can. Just waiting on my bru-gear
conical to be delivered .. Won't freezing kill the yeast?

John recently said there is no wheat used in Heady Topper. His wife has an allergy. He also
said there are no hops in the boil. Just extract at bittering, and the rest go in the whirlpool
and dry hops...

Just drank my first bottle. Really good stuff. Fantastic nose. Low bitterness, bright orange

I wouldn't because you risk contamination. The alcohol in the beer creates a protective layer.
Once you remove that, your risk of infection goes up. I use half gallon ball jars. Fill half
way, boil in...
