    ABOUT ME

  • I live in Salt Lake City, Utah. I love all kinds of beer but my current favorites are double IPAs. I enjoy fishing, hunting, building AR-15s, shooting, and precious metal coin collecting as my other hobbies.
  • Precious Metals Refining
  • I got into homebrewing because one of my coworkers would always give me beer and mead that he had brewed and it was so fantastic that I wanted to make some of my own to trade with him.

Do you prefer shops that let you fill and crush your own grains? The other shops in my area do
that, but we fill recipes for the customer. IMO this saves time because we know our grain room
    so well, a...

What do you mean by "manifold"?I keep the valve to the CO2 tank open and the regulator valve to
the keg open. The second regulator is set to zero and the valve is shut off. I do not have the

Safale us05Yeah, that one (often times called the Chico strain) tastes especially tart to me.
So does Wyeast 1272. I always use gelatin in my beers that use the Chico strain because it

Some yeast strains will taste tart if it is still in suspension. What yeast did you use?

This looks interesting. I love using Notty at 58F but I have never had an issue with it
underattenuating. I would just keg it and start drinking. What kind of flavor does spelt lend
    to a beer?
