  • went all grain about 5 years ago, have brewed about 100 batches so far. most recently was asked to judge at the beehive brew off, an awesome and humbling experience, utahr has some great homebrewers.

    i don't have an amp meter either, my sticky one is on my boil kettle, and i notice that the
    boil continues even when i switch 'off' that element.

    i'd say its actually less. i have a 4500w element on my 40a module that's 18.75a. its the boil
    kettle one. its not killing me, but its certainly a p.i.a

    i really don't want to keep readdressing this issue. having a pigtail will not help. i still
