3 months should be plenty for most lagers. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I somehow get the

I am not sure how accurate or steady the equipment in your pic will hold the vacuum. I use a
mityvac and leave the pressure between 20 & 22 in Hg vac. I use it on 6 & 3 Gal glass carboys.

Tonight I learned that the hose for my chiller that I leave laying on the ground will freeze

I sometimes have to crank up the RPMs to get the bar moving but then turn them down once it
gets started. I think as long as it is moving - they are gold. My temps are in the mid 60's
which is perfect...
