I purchased the 1.5 " ferrule for my 5500w CAMCO and encountered the same clearance issue.I
then found and now use a 2" ferrule from Hillbillystills : offers the clearance I prefer and
had 2" ferrule...

The exclusive role of the neutral wire in this implementation is to provide 120v to the
