Thanks for the info. Seems to be Same Same but Different. Similar but not the same. Back to the
LHBS I go.Mark.Posted in thread: NZ Cascade vs US Cascade on 09-14-2012 at 06:30 PM
Sent SWMBO to the LHBS to grab some hops for the brew this weekend and she came home with NZ
Cascade. Close enough I suppose. AA% is 8.5 or something. Anyone notice and particular
differences between ...Posted in thread: Thinking of buying this temp control - opinions? on 07-14-2012 at 07:48 AM
The way I'm set up, one controller probe is in a large jar of water, the controller is set to
11°C and it runs the fridge. The second controller probe is taped to the carboy, the controller
is set to ...Posted in thread: Thinking of buying this temp control - opinions? on 07-12-2012 at 06:49 AM

I've seen that before. Seems to be yeast that stuck to the sides on its way to the bottom. Some
of it eventually settled to the bottom for me, some was still there when I bottled. Racked away
from it ...Posted in thread: More Buckets or a Carboy? on 05-17-2012 at 03:51 PM
I've never had a problem getting my glass carboys squeaky clean, no matter how much
fermentation funk is clinging to the insides. I fill with hot tap water and PBW and leave it
for a day or two (or mo...Posted in thread: Monster Mill 2 Crush? on 05-13-2012 at 10:38 PM
Another vote for 0.032. Like you, I started out with my MM2 around .045 but found my efficiency
was about 60%. Made my crush a little finer and today I hit my targets bang on. I was aiming
for around ...Posted in thread: Has anybody from Canada, ordered any products online from Hopdawgs homebrewing? on 05-12-2012 at 04:48 PM
You could also have a look at Bosa Grape in Vancouver. They mostly do wine stuff but have moved
into beer equipment and supplies recently. They have way more in store than what they show on
their site...
