I'll never settle on a certain yeast. I've heard good things about W-34/70. But I have yet to
try it. I guess I was just giving my experience on S-23 because all I read was bad things about
    it and I h...

When I first started lagering I was searching for my "House Strain" Much in like how I did for
my ales. Of course for my ales I stick to 3 for my "safe bets". My favorite Safale 05, followed

So I've noticed that this particular brew that has used the blow off is already clear after 10
days. I tried a sample from the hydrometer tube and it also tasted great. Would it make sense
    that a blow...

My blow off set up is pretty simple. I just grabbed a 1" tube x 4ft and put it into the top of
my carboy down to my filled container. I filled the carboy almost to the top so I expected much
    of the kr...

I've tried to search for my question, but haven't found the answer. I've been using airlocks
for a long time with zero problems. So my question isn't about which one works better, but does
    one change ...

I try to keep my sessions identical. I add grains 3lbs at a time. And stir to avoid clumping.
Once I have everything together I take the origional mash temp. At 30 min I re-stir and double
    check mash ...

The S-33 bottles have been sitting for about 6 weeks now.. 4 weeks at room temp and the 2 weeks
in the fridge. This beer is now drinkable. The off-flavor is gone, and it tastes like a
    unbalanced wheat...

BALLS.. Just did another brew last night. My goal OG was 1.054 (70%). Hit 1.060 (75%). The only
thing that I did different was raise the mash temp from 152 to 158. Everything else was the
    same. Guess ...

Here's a visual. It has great head retention and lacing. The picture looks a little dark
because I took it at night.
