  • My father bought me a wine making kit for Christmas 2011. I now have (as of 02/25/12) 5 - 6 gal carboys, and 6 - 1 gal jugs, many bottles, bottle drying rack, filter, two bottlers, and etc...
  • More Apple wine, it's cheap and appears to be easier and more consistent results.
  • Currently (02/25/12) have 4 - 6 gal going. Apple, blueberry pomogranate, welches grape, grape cranberry. AND three one gallons of various juices / mixtures.
  • various 1 gal items that all turned out bad lol. I drank them of course.

    rack, degas, air lock- let site for at least 2 hours, add cheap vodka slowly to taste or to SG
    1.0 (no lower), degas again, air lock... Let sit for 1 month, test again, * if still at SG 1.0
    or higher,...

    If it were here where I live (is cold) I would put in the garage for a day or two. Bring back
    in the house, rack in my gallon jugs, put them in the fridge and drink myself silly every night
    till gone....

    Yes I meant sorbate (changed it in the initial post). I most likely will not backsweeten, I
    thought campden and sorbate preserved as well as kill the possibility of re-fermentation. So
    the wine doesnt...
