I think its the lactose. Just did my first all grain chocolate milk stout og 1.072 fg 1025 or
024ish. I use Kolsh yeast with a 1l starter on stirplate. I wouldn't muck aroumd with it too

If you are going to force carp it then I would cold crash it for a couple of days prior to
kegging so as to leave as much yeast/trub behind as possible.
