I would look into getting a grain mil and wort chiller. For the wort chiller I would just see
what a 25-50' section of copper tubing would run you and build your own; then you can save the
bulk of the...
Posted in thread: How Do You Aerate? on 01-16-2015 at 05:45 PM
I aerate by siphoning the wort from my brew kettle to the bucket through a strainer for about
3/4 of it; then just dump in the last 1/4 through the strainer. All the while I am siphoning I
will have a...

While it is sitting for the next week or two get yourself a hydrometer so that you can be sure
the yeast is done prior to bottling. You will want to take one reading then wait two days and
take a seco...

Hi all, Thanks for the speedy responses! It seems the gallery here is rather mixed on what to
do. I am going to go with keeping it since I'm not too worried about the glass issue. I was
able to recover...
Posted in thread: Found a dead mouse in my empty carboy on 12-19-2014 at 09:29 AM
Look at the bright side: it's better to find a mouse in an empty carboy than a full one.Of
course we don't really know if the carboy was empty before[/] the mouse fell in?
