  • I Started all grain brewing in 1998 with 5 gallon batches. I started out with a basic 5 gallon all-grain setup. Setup included a 5 gallon got cooler for mash and immersion chiller. I averaged two to three batches a month with this basic setup. Boy, did I cap a lot of bottles!

To speed up the brewing process I made the jump to 10 gallon batches in 2002. I upgraded to Sabco kegs and dual free standing burners. I made my own two stage immersion chiller and began keg'ing my beers. Brew production increased to an average of two batches a month. This is my second batch of homebrew using my new Nalgene carboy. 11 gallons of Blonde Ale went
into the fermenter. Better than using two 6 gal carboys any day!
