    Sounds like acetobactor.Star San and or boil everything you can. Disassemble everything you can

    I tried some in oatmeal cookies. They came out great. I took out 1/2 cup of the sugar and
    replaced it with 1 cup DME.Still sweet but with a good malt flavor.

    Corn sugar is better, but in a pinch (like you're in) plain old sugar will work just fine.If
    you were really stuck, you could even use honey. Pretty much any sugar, in the proper amount.
    Just don't us...
