I'm not sure how much it matters, but some softwoods have resins that can have harsh flavors.

Fruit wood seems like a good idea.I was going to use it for fermentation, secondary and aging.

Thanks! I will post up what the beer scores. I should know by the 9th of September. Paper work
had to be in by today, and beers dropped off at the LHBS on the 23rd - 25th of August.

I'm thinking about making some wine this summer. Can I bottle wine in 22oz beer bottles? Or do
they need to be corked bottles? I have a place to store them in the basement on their sides.
