  • Received a kit for my birthday and really liked it. Especially the science part. I started with only IPA's, but I made them so strong and hoppy that there were only a few people that would drink them. So I'm broadening my horizons to wheat beers.
  • I just finished pitching a Belgian Wheat and plan on a Pale Ale with lots of hops, but little bitters (no boiling hops at the 60min mark, only at the 22min)

After that I'm open to suggestions.
  • 1.Imperial IPA with Centennial hops boiled in at 22min and Cascade hops dry hopped, two weeks into fermentation.
  • I don't have a secondary. New guy here and haven't gone the carboy route yet. Still pitching, fermenting and bottling from the main keg.

Makes sense. Next time you want a higher gravity beer, buy a higher gravity kit. Recipes are
about balance. You can't really alter 1 variable without affecting the other variables. For

I have several batches that have an og of 1.054 or higher and a FG of 1.006 or lower. When I
read the recommended FG on a lot of these, they are in the 1.012 range. All are either pale
