  • Started brewing in 2007. My bast man gave me a starter kit as a wedding gift (best gift ever). I had it for 6 months before I put it to use, but I can't stop now.

I've used a recipe once, and I can't bring myself to do it again. When I cook, I don't use recipes; nothing ever comes out the same twice, but it's always delicious. Hopefully my homebrew will develop the same way.

Beers I've made (in chron order):
    Kolsch (Austin Homebrew recipe)
Ale Negro (lightened version of a porter recipe)
Christmas Ale (modified from AHB recipe)
Strong Ale (completely fabricated from the cavernous ignorance of my curious mind)

I had the same experience with my first big beer. I racked it according to plan instead of
according to the gravity. Start at 1.091, wait two weeks, rack, and wait again. I should have
    waited until th...

Where did you get malted sorghum and in what physical forms is it available?I believe the
Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner (I think available only in TX) uses primarily sorgum for their
    brewing. I have alway...

Yes, they are rotated. It's just easier to keep the files in this orientation for printing and
    cutting purposes.What is pitched lettering?

It's nothing fancy. I based it off of Westmalle's lables. It's easy to modify and very
flexible. My logo needs help, for sure, as I'm not much of a graphic designer.

Well damn, that puts me to shame. Those labels/logos are friggin' awsome.I just figured out how
to post images and was going to post my lables for critique. But now I'm a little
    embarassed.I'll go ahe...

hope this post works. It took all of 5 minutes to approximate your logo, insert it on the
lable and play with the colors.

I just made you a lable template based off of my own template design. I use GIMP2, so if you
use it (it's free BTW) you can just change the name and stats.Only problem is I'm not so
    proficient at usin...

Most of you aren't fortunate enough to have Lone Star at the ready, but I'm more that willing
to drink the National Beer of Texas all night long. Save the home brew and micros to be
    apreciated some ot...

Why do people always leave the thumb off the shocker?!? Any woman (or monkey if you prefer)
will tell you, the thumb is key to successful shocking.
