Ok, my single hop beers are carbonated and we tasted them last night. Grist: 95% pale 2-row, 3%
c-40, 2% carafoam. 2 gallon batch size - split into 4 boils, for four 1/2 gallon batches

Hello All, So my friend is getting married in Sept 2014 and I have decided I want to brew a

you're mixing a LOT of flavors in there: intense hops, saison yeast, pineapple, oak, GM... and
finally brett. could be awesome, or could be a hot muddled mess. personally, i would drop the
    GM and the ...

regular farmhouse IPA area is the best route. Especially since those 2 hops are pretty sweet by
    themselves ...

Hello all! Looking for a bit of advice. This will be my first time using brett and wanted to
see if this whole idea sounds workable. So the beer we are brewing is a Farmhouse IPA of sorts.

  • Posted in thread: Question on yeast starter size and OG 1.100 on 10-29-2012 at 07:51 PM
I use a stir plate on my starters so they never get much krausen. It can vary from yeast to
yeast but in a starter you'll probably see it after about 1.5 to 2.5 days. It's basically when
    the yeast is ...

When will I know its high krausen? I checked today and I see that its grown a bit but not as
much as expected. I should be able to grab yeast either tomorrow or Wednesday. The storm is

up being 1.100 which was a littler higher than I expected. I did a yeast starter in a 1000 ml
    flask but I ...
