A positive to option 2 is having a breaker close by your brewing area, and not too far of a
walk to turn power back on. Also, if you're set on 30a ignore this, but I would consider

No regrets at all going electric. It has made it possible now for my 2.5yr old assistant brewer

Is there anything wrong with just throwing the pellets in the boil, and using a sanitized

It really doesn't matter. You may get clearer beer and possibly more wort into the fermenter if
you use a bag (if you're trying to avoid hop sludge in the fermenter), but IMHO it is
