    Actually, not all chemicals are a deal killer. Cider with ascorbic acid (aka vitamin C) will
    work.

    Regarding the beer scene, it's considered a wasteland. The county is the only "distributor" in
    Montgomery county so prices are high and selection is low. There seems to be a pretty good
    homebrew scene...

    I use bannister posts and paint the with blackboard paint. That way I can use chalk to label
    the tap.

    Shower beer is somewhat of a post strenuous work ritual for me. It's often not homebrew for me,
    though. "Lawn mower beer" got its name for a reason. I keep some on hand just for that
