I've bottled in ten penny growlers for years , no problems, just beware overuse of the caps,
which DO wear out, causing loss of seal. Replacements are available online which are designed
to be reused....

I've also just started brewing, and all together I find Brewer's Best kits the most user
friendly. They spell out everything in the directions as far as temp, and they also tell you

It is an extract IPA from Brewer's Best. I was just going to use the carboy because the
directions in the kit advised me to do so. I don't mind leaving it in the primary. So it's ok
to remove the lid ...
