  • Currently have 3 Primary's that I rotate out. No secondary's (don't do fruit beers for the most part). Got into brewing 2 years ago because my wife bought me a MR. BEER kit. After the first two batches (that she bought with the kit) I was hooked, and out at my LHBS that weekend picking up real equipment. Currently a PM brewer. Only reason I am not to the AG step is I have no room for the equipment.

Wait three weeks before you pop one. You can sneak some but they will seem over carbonated at
first and flat after a few minutes. The carbonation really needs to settle into the beer. Also,
    make sure ...

IMO whole leaf hops work the best for dry hopping and I just dump them all in. A lot less clean
up than pellets, even while using a grain bag. As to your beers being cloudy, it could be a
    variety of t...

I use gelatin and a good cold crash, but then again as someone said, it's all about your
preference. The only reason I use gelatins you don't have to remember to add it to the boil,
    which means it is ...

So the wort has been fermenting 4 days now and i am seeing no more CO2 in the airlock how much
longer should i allow it to ferment? I was under the impression that i should let fermentation

The bucket will do fine. Whether you use buckets or carboys is all personal preference. I like
carboys, having said that. It's good to see you're active in the brewing, there is nothing
    worse than run...

Citrus is one of those notes that can go south really fast (as in too much). I have used way
too much lemon in one of my batches, and it took a good couple of months to mellow out, and
    even then, it w...

I would have to agree that it is entirely perception, or at least the majority of it is. I
happen to love Simcoe. I use it in a lot of my beers (Amarillo, Nugget and Simcoe are always in
    my supply). I...
