i can see where it might not taste up to par with no hops but i dont think it would be
disgusting maybe youve got an infected batch or oxydized beer. mead does not have any hops and

you certainly can but it will take its toll on body and taste if you use a lot. some high
gravity beers use like a pound in five gallons to get more dry
