looking to do extract version...is it recommended to keep all the grains the same and just
replace the 8lbs of 2-row with the appropriate amount of extract?recipe from page #1 below ->

Nope, tried but they were glued in like crazy. Stuck with barbs per picture and use mfl
fittings on the other ends.
