There is no need to make any sort of starter for dry yeast. In fact, sugars absorbed into the
cell while reconstituting is what hurts vitality. I'm sure there are enough cells to get

Mr Malty says that a 1.053 SG lager needs 370 billion cells. That would be about 19grams of dry

I use aluminum. No issues. Heard some guy at the LHBS telling a newb not to buy Aluminum pots
too and had to bite my tongue. Remeber a lot of cooking gear is aluminum and no one really

It would, you might want to consider the 50' coil as opposed to the typical 25'. It's pretty
