I have completed my first acre of Chinook hops, and will be moving on to 5 more acres this year
I got a lot of work ahead of me but it will be awesome.

update i have a total of 10 babies now but as i look at the other plants it maybe more like 15

i plan selling my hops eventually right now i only have 30 plants plan to by next year have 200
- 300 plants

Hops send out suckers thats what is going on I don't see many weeds their, typically if it was
witch grass, crab grass, or any other grass i would remove it from around the hop vines, also

use a 4 4 4 npk (nitrogen phosphorus, potassium fertilizer when you do it with a tea, also bat
guano and coffee grounds work wonderfully well

Safer 3 in 1 insect spray may help a bit keep spraying the plants till harvest time comes about
I have the same problem, also cutting the grass down by your hops wont hurt and might help to
the bugs l...
