So, I ordered a couple of 30 amp relays for my Kal-esque clone. I received two 50 amp relays
instead.Since the 50 amp rating is for what the relay can handle as a load, does anyone see it
    a problem to...

It gives a little bit, but in the end the pour comes out as foam. Not perfect, but a good
    deterrent.

This is what I do. You could probably swap the dowel rod with an aluminum rod drilled for a
    small cable lock.

If you have cats and a keezer, here is a potential solution! This is just a mock up before I
spend time to make it less ugly.

If your water tastes good, then I wouldn't change it. BIAB - I do not filter and my beers are

Thanks! I think I am going to go with a 5" spacing. The pic above is 4" and it feels too close.

Do these seem too close? Currently spaced at 4 inches on center.

  • Posted in thread: Just Bought A New Kettle: Questions on 08-21-2013 at 01:41 AM
Hey Congrats on the new pot - 94 bucks for a ten gallon, thick walled pot doesn't seem too bad.
Kettles new without a bulkhead are usually a bit more than that. It shouldn't be too thick for
    a bulkhea...

  • Posted in thread: Wheat beer dropped clear in bottle after 1 week? on 08-16-2013 at 11:41 PM
All of the wheat beers that I've brewed have been really quite clear. I only primary, and
usually for 3-5 weeks. I've never found a taste problem with them - SWMBO keeps asking me to
    brew more!:)
